Storm Guard Mode

The E10 doesn't wait for you to check the weather. Storm Guard Mode connects to weather services and monitors for severe weather in your area automatically. When a storm is incoming, the system overrides your current power strategy and charges the batteries to full capacity using both solar and grid power before the outage hits.

During an outage, the Anker App sends real-time power level reminders so you always know where you stand. If the outage stretches into days, the E10's 12-circuit smart prioritization automatically shifts power to your essential circuits, extending your backup window without any manual intervention.

Combined with the optional Smart Generator for multi-day events, Storm Guard gives Cincinnati homeowners a level of storm preparedness that standalone generators simply can't match. No fuel runs. No manual startup. No guessing.

System Configurations

  • E10 Base (6 kWh) - essential appliance backup: refrigerator, lights, Wi-Fi, sump pump
  • E10 + Smart Inlet Box (12 kWh) - manual transfer for key circuits during outages
  • E10 + Power Dock (12-30 kWh) - 200A automatic whole-home backup, no load panel required
  • E10 + Power Dock + Smart Generator (12-30 kWh + fuel) - extended backup with tri-fuel generator for multi-day outages
  • Multi-unit systems (up to 90 kWh) - for large homes or near-off-grid capability

Ideal For

  • Budget-conscious homeowners who want to start with backup and expand over time
  • Homes in storm-prone areas needing multi-day backup capability with generator add-on
  • Homeowners who want whole-home backup without building a separate loads subpanel
  • Households with high-draw appliances - the E10's surge power handles 5-ton AC systems
  • Anyone who wants the flexibility of battery + generator in one integrated platform

E10 vs. Tesla Powerwall

Both are excellent systems - the best choice depends on your priorities. The E10 offers a lower entry price, more flexible scaling, and generator integration. The Powerwall offers a longer warranty, deeper Tesla ecosystem integration, and established brand recognition. We install both and will recommend the right fit based on your home, budget, and goals.

Common Questions

The E10 base system (power module + one 6 kWh battery) starts at $4,299 for the equipment. Installation costs vary based on your electrical setup and chosen configuration. Contact us for a detailed estimate specific to your home.

Yes - that's one of the E10's biggest advantages. Each power module supports up to 5 battery modules (30 kWh). Batteries stack with a no-cable modular design, and you don't need to reconfigure your electrical system to expand.

The Power Dock is Anker's 200A automatic transfer solution. It connects between your meter and main panel, allowing the E10 to back up every circuit in your home without building a separate backup loads subpanel. It also handles solar input from both DC and AC sources.

The Anker Smart Generator 5500 connects directly to the E10 and charges the battery via DC - which is more efficient than traditional AC generators. It runs on gasoline, propane, or natural gas and switches on automatically when battery levels drop. This extends your backup time significantly during multi-day outages.

Yes. The E10 with two or more battery packs delivers up to 37.2 kW surge power (155 LRA), which is enough to start most residential 5-ton AC systems. We verify your AC unit's startup requirements during the site assessment.

No. The E10 charges from the grid and provides backup power without solar. If you add solar later, the system supports up to 9 kW of solar input per unit. The Power Dock is compatible with third-party PV inverters.

Yes. The E10 is NEMA 4 (IP66) rated for outdoor installation. It operates in temperatures from -4°F to 131°F and has a built-in heating film that automatically warms the battery in cold weather to maintain performance.

Anker provides a 5-year warranty covering defects in materials, workmanship, and performance. The LiFePO4 battery chemistry is rated for 4,000+ charge cycles with 80% capacity retention.

We install the E10 power module, battery modules, and your chosen connection hub (Smart Inlet Box or Power Dock). If you're adding the Smart Generator, we set that up as well. We handle permitting, utility coordination, and full system commissioning including the Anker App setup.
